ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a popular type of engineering plastic that is produced through the copolymerization of three main monomers. These monomers are acrylonitrile (A), butadiene (B), and styrene (S).
Acrylonitrile contributes to the chemical resistance and heat stability of ABS, while butadiene provides impact resistance and toughness. Styrene helps to give ABS its rigidity, gloss, and excellent processability.
The proportion of three monomers can be adjusted, usually styrene accounts for 60%, acrylonitrile 25%, and butadiene 15%, respectively, giving the material luster/processability, chemical resistance, and toughness.
Milky white particles, density 1.04-1.06 g/cm³, non-crystalline material, temperature resistance range -25 ℃ to 80 ℃ (long-term use).
Strong impact resistance (especially at low temperatures), high surface smoothness, easy to dye, electroplate, or paint.
